Russia to deploy second S-400 missile around Moscow region

 

The strategic command of Russia's Space Defense Forces has received its second unit of S-400 Triumph missile systems and would deployed the system in the surrounding region of Moscow, local reports said on Wednesday.

 

So far, the forces have already deployed a unit of S-400 at Electrostal, a city near Moscow.

 

"The hand-over ceremony for the second S-400 will take place at the state firing range in Kapustin Yar from February 16 to 19," said Col. Vladimir Drik, spokesman for Russian Defense Ministry.

 

"The system uses a range of missiles, optimized for engaging ballistic and cruise missiles and hypersonic vehicles," Drik said.

 

The S-400 system consists of two divisions, as each contains eight launch points. Every launch points could blast four missiles.

 

The system, developed on the basis of S-300 missile system, has a maximum range of up to 400 km at an altitude of 40,000 to 50,000 meters.

Il "clone cinese" di cui si parlava dovrebbe essere l"HongQi 9 che pero non ha avuto molto seguito. Non credo sia nemmeno mai stato esportato. Quindi quelli visti in Iran dovrebbero essere i "russi" originali.

Lo E-350 è un poco il contraltare dell'ASTER. Che sia superiore al Patriot è pacifico.... se non altro perchè ha 30 anni di meno!

Più che altro i russi si sono sempre impegnati molto nella difesa antiaerea e ABM e perciò hanno sempre sfornato armi che sono state sempre al vertice della categoria. Adesso si stanno impegnando su 3 fronti: s350, s400 e s500. Comunque in verità è l'Aster ad essere il contraltare dell's300 ma resta il fatto che sono due missili di classi differenti

The contract was initially expected to be worth $4 billion, but one procurement official said the Chinese manufacturer had reduced its proposal to around $3 billion.

T-Loramids consists of radar, launcher and intercept missiles. The system has been designed to counter both enemy aircraft and missiles. Turkey has no long-range air-defense systems.

CPMEIC said it will co-produce the system with Turkish prime and subcontractors. But diplomats and analysts warn that Turkey may not be allowed to integrate the Chinese-Turkish system into its mostly NATO-owned early warning assets.

Other contenders for the contract were a US partnership of Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, offering the Patriot air defense system; Russia’s Rosoboronexport, marketing the S-300; and the Italian-French consortium Eurosam, maker of the SAMP/T Aster 30.

Perché per l'appunto sono fatte male al massimo sono comparabili alle prime versioni dell'S-300F degli anni 80 comunque meglio non sottovalutare i cinesi stanno facendo passi da gigante nell'aviazione .

Perché per l'appunto sono fatte male al massimo sono comparabili alle prime versioni dell'S-300F degli anni 80 comunque meglio non sottovalutare i cinesi stanno facendo passi da gigante nell'aviazione .

Non sono così sicuro. Non credo che la Turchia faccia un errore del genere, anche perché vi sono dei bandi per decidere l'acquisto dei sistemi d'arma. Nel caso avessi ragione tu vuol dire che alla base del contratto vi potrebbe essere una sostanziosa mazzetta, cosa non improbabile data la leadership turca; nel caso in cui avessi ragione io vorrebbe dire che i cinesi sanno copiare i mezzi militari molto meglio di come fanno con le auto o i pezzi dei computer

banalmente... l'accordo dovrebbe essere saltato. in ogni caso, la Turchia, a suo tempo, era stata molto chiara circa i criteri che avevano decretato la scelta del sistema cinese: quello più economico e col trasferimento di tecnologia più alto (poi certo, qualcuno maligna anche che la NATO volesse dare una bella sbirciatina al missile cinese).

ma la NATO ha già in possesso le vecchie versioni di S-300 in carico ai nuovi paesi membri dell'alleanza. l'HQ-9, benchè derivato dal missile russo, potrebbe avere varie novità. tuttavia, sono solo voci, tali notizie, se vere, non vengono mica confermate.

quando succede con i mortai o con i missili portatili se la danno a gambe e poi fanno brillare l'ordigno, in questo caso penso che facciano brillare la testata con una piccola carica, magari piazzata da un robottino, in modo da non rovinare il resto del mezzo.

The S-400, an upgraded version of the S-300, had previously only been available to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
