NORAD and Russian Air Force plan cooperative air defense exercise The Russian Federation Air Force and the North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct a first-ever cooperative air defense exercise. The civilian air control agencies of Russia (Federal Air Navigational Service) and the United States (Federal Aviation Administration) will also be involved in the exercise along with the military air operations centers at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, and Khabarovsk, Russia. The exercise, named VIGILANT EAGLE, will take place on or about Aug. 8-11 and involves Russian, Canadian and U.S. Air Force personnel operating from command centers in Russia and the United States. This exercise is authorized under a cooperative military agreement signed by the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States of America. The agreement tasks NORAD, the bi-national U.S. and Canadian command, and the Russian Federation Air Force to conduct a live-fly exercise for up to five days. Nel corso della "Vigilant Eagle" Un Gulfstream che impersonava la parte di un Boeing 757 ha segnalato di esser stato dirottato ed è stato preso sotto controllo da un E-3 Sentry e raggiunto da due F-22 Raptor, che ad un certo punto hanno ceduto il posto a due Sukhoi Su-27 guidati da un aereo radar russo Beriev A-50M. Brando Posted August 23, 2010 Report Share Posted August 23, 2010 è possibile che i russi abbiano ricavato qualche dato per poter confrontare il raptor al loro pakfa? probabilmente quando i raptor si sono avvicinati allo spazio aereo russo per le "consegne" della scorta ai flanker russi e gli A-50 o i sensori irst dei flanker sempre che fossero attivi qualche dato lo potrebbero aver preso. wingrove Posted August 23, 2010 Report Share Posted August 23, 2010 Non è che si siano sforzati più di tanto comunque 9,5 per l'impegno...si saranno sopportati su quell'aereo o ognuno si sarà augurato che l'altro si strozzasse??? notare l'onnipresente hamburger....anche nelle situazioni più critiche! Notare che gli F-22 Fossile (Raptor) in tempo di pace hanno sotto la fusoliera la lente di Lunberg (Lüneburg lens) con la quale l'RCS dell'aereo aumenta drasticamente...
