Caldwell, right, commander of Submarine Force U.S. Pacific Fleet, returns a hinomaru yosegaki, or a good luck flag, to Consul General of Japan Toyoei Shigeeda during a ceremony at the Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu. Caldwell's uncle received the flag during World War II and Caldwell returned it to the Consul General in the hopes that it will eventually be returned to the family members of the former Japanese soldier. Desidero rettificare in parte quanto ho scritto poc'anzi .... Ripensandoci .... mi è venuto in mente che mio zio aveva detto che le munizioni detenute nell'abitazione non potevano essere in alcun modo utilizzate .... mentre quelle che venivano usate in occasione dei tiri periodici dovevano in realtà essere acquistate .... cosa che non era particolarmente gradita .... in special modo dai più giovani ....

Mio zio svizzero mi raccontava che le munizioni (24 cartucce) le aveva si a casa .... ma che non potevano essere in alcun modo utilizzate se non in caso di mobilitazione o forse, ma qui non ne sono del tutto sicuro, in occasione dei periodici tiri di esercitazione. Ma lui era uno di quelli che avevano ancora in dotazione lo Schimdt Rubin ....
