Alla gara partecipa Alenia Aermacchi con il suo M-346 Master, più volte presentato in Polonia anche nel recente passato. Il ministero della Difesa, da tempo alla ricerca di un nuovo velivolo, ha ufficializzato la Request For Proposal (RFP) per 16 addestratori avanzati che, nelle intenzioni di Varsavia, dovrebbero entrare in servizio per il 2016. La specifica emesse dalla Polonia - secondo quanto riporta l’edizione online del settimanale inglese Flight - chiede che l’aereo possa portare munizionamento anche guidato e prevede la consegna in due lotti, il primo dei quali inizialmente solo nella versione addestrativa. Contro l’M-346 sarebbero in gara, oltre al Master, il KAI/Lockheed T-50 e due addestratori della generazione precedente, il ceco Aero Vodochody L-159 e il BAE Systems Hawk. Quest’ultimo sarebbe proposto sia nuovo, da parte del costruttore, sia usato dalla Patria finlandese, che offre gli Hawk già impiegati dall’aviazione finlandese . La Polonia deve sostituire oltre 100 PZL Mielec TS-11 Iskra. Questi vecchi velivoli da addestramento avrebbero dovuto essere ritirati già nel 2009, ma la relativa gara fu però rinviata al 2010. Tuccio14 Posted June 18, 2011 Report Share Posted June 18, 2011 Il 346 è un sistema ad architettura aperta, non ci vuole niente ad integrare armamento, e per il radar so che si stava già lavorando all'integrazione del grifo di Selex SI. Io credo che abbia buone chances di essere scelto, ricordiamo che anche gli EAU nella specifica avevano la possibilità di armare l'addestratore, il fatto che il Master sia stato selezionato dovrebbe voler dire che Aermacchi ha la capacità di offrirlo anche così. Le specifiche sembrano fatte appositamente per il T-50, o meglio per le sue versioni "on the shelf" : strano che non hanno inserito nelle richieste che sia monomotore dotato di a/b T-50 che è, notoriamente, il nipotino dello F-16 .... il quale, guarda caso, è ora il caccia di punta delle forze aeree polacche .... Mustanghino Posted May 16, 2013 Report Share Posted May 16, 2013 non conosco i costi di acquisto e manutenzione del T-50, ma specifiche tecniche alla mano, "fisicamente" è comparabile al JAS-39: poi vabbeh al giorno d'oggi avionica e suite fanno la parte da padrone sui costi, (e il velivolo coreano non si porta con se tutte le cose che ha il Gripen), ma comunque mi sembra un pò grandicello per fare l'addestratore Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Three bidders have submitted preliminary proposals to participate in the next phase of an advanced jet trainer system competition for the Polish air force, with the Czech Republic's Aero Vodochody having withdrawn its interest. The Polish defence ministry's armament inspectorate confirmed on 7 June that it had received responses from Alenia Aermacchi, BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin UK for the planned eight-aircraft deal.
