RNLAF Intercepts More Bears

Two Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) F-16s on quick action alert this morning intercepted a pair of Russian Tu-95 Bear bombers flying in Dutch airspace without identifying themselves. As usual, the RNLAF fighters were guided by the Air Operations Control Station in Nieuw-Milligen.

 

Before the Dutch intercept, the Tu-95s were intercepted by Royal Danish Air Force F-16s. After leaving Dutch airspace, British Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoons took over.

 

The Netherlands Ministry of Defense reports that the RNLAF has already scrambled three times this year to intercept Russian aircraft.

A Russian Navy surveillance ship has spent the last several days lingering off the coast of the western coast of Hawaii, USNI News has learned.

A defense official told USNI News that the ship had been operating within the bounds of international law and was not a hazard to navigation. 
The ship has not been broadcasting an automatic identification system (AIS) signal, officials confirmed to USNI News.
U.S. Pacific Fleet did not provide additional details about the Russian ship, but USNI News understands the vessel is the Russian Navy Vishnya-class auxiliary general intelligence (AGI) ship Kareliya (SSV-535).

Interessante il "lecturing" storico via radio. Ma il più divertente fu il "meow" di qualche tempo fa quando un aereo da sorveglianza era in fitto e monotono scambio radio con le basi cinesi.
