zander Posted October 3, 2012 Report Share Posted October 3, 2012 Un pilota taiwanese, il tenenete colonnello Tung-Yi Wong di 37 anni, ha perso la vita questa mattina verso le 10.00 nello schianto con il suo velivolo Mirage 2000-5 appartenente all'Armée de l'Air a circa 10 km dalla base aerea di Luxeuil, in Francia, poco dopo il decollo. Il corpo è stato ritrovato distante dalla carcassa dell'aereo ma non è stato appurato se il pilota si sia eiettato. La presenza di piloti taiwanesi è costante ma molto discreta in Francia, per evitare di irritare eccessvamente Pechino. Taiwan negli anni '90 acquistò 60 Mirage 2000-5. Gen. Wu Wan-chiao, director of the Air Force Command Headquarters’ Department of Political Warfare.The flight suspension will not be lifted until the reasons for the Mirage 2000-5 crash in France have been identified, Wu said, adding that the black box of the crashed warplane had been recovered. According to a Radio France Internationale report Wednesday, local people said they saw a "ball of fire" crash into a wooded area about 500 meters from a group of houses that morning.
