I lupi di Kovno

Nell'inverno 1916-17, enormi branchi di lupi affamati fecero la comparsa sul fronte orientale, soprattutto nel settore di Kovno, in Lituania, aggredendo e sbranando perfino i soldati nelle trincee. Alla fine, il comando russo e quello tedesco dovettero negoziare una tregua e formare pattuglie miste per combattere la piaga.
