Overnight (Wednesday), an Arrow 2 interception test was successfully completed. 
The interception was carried out by combatants from the "Defensive Sword" Battalion in the IAF's Aerial Defense Division. 
"It is not an automatic system – the exceptional connection between combatants and missiles is the key to success"
The "Arrow" weapons system is an integral part of the multi-layered air defense division, based on four operational levels of defense: "Iron Dome", "Magic Wand", "Arrow 2", and "Arrow 3". 
Last night a successful test of the "Arrow 2" weapons system was completed. 
The successful test demonstrated the astounding capability of the IAF's Aerial Defense Division.
The test was conducted from a testing field in central Israel and was led by the IAI (Israeli Aerospace Industry) with the cooperation of The Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO), of the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D) in the Israel Ministry of Defense, and with the American Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Israel and the United States have begun developing the Arrow-4 missile defense system that includes next-generation interceptors and will replace the Arrow-2 over the next decades, according to a statement from Israel’s Defense Ministry.
“The Arrow weapon system, which was one of the first in the world to intercept ballistic missiles, will be upgraded with a significant capability, produced by Israel Aerospace Industries, in the form of the Arrow-4 interceptor. La vendita del sistema di difesa missilistica "Arrow 3" da parte di Israele alla Germania ha ottenuto l'approvazione degli Stati Uniti ...

Il Governo israeliano ha annunciato che venderà il sistema di difesa missilistica "Arrow 3" alla Germania, un affare da 3,5 miliardi di dollari che la contrassegnerà come la più grande esportazione nel settore della difesa di Israele di sempre.
La vendita è stata resa possibile dopo che i funzionari del Dipartimento di Stato degli Stati Uniti hanno notificato l'approvazione agli alti dirigenti della difesa.
Il passo è stato necessario in quanto il sistema è un co-sviluppo tra la "Missile Defense Agency" statunitense e "la "Missile Defense Organization" israeliana, guidata dall'appaltatore locale "Israel Aerospace Industries".
