E' possiible che una nave di questa classe e con questo equipaggiamento, possa essere totalmente messa fuori uso da un sistema di jamming (di cui ignoro le caratteristiche)?

 

The USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is a 4th generation guided missile destroyer whose key weapons are Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, and capable of carrying nuclear explosives. This ship carries 56 Tomahawk missiles in standard mode, and 96 missiles in attack mode.

The US destroyer is equipped with the most recent Aegis Combat System. It is an integrated naval weapons systems which can link together the missile defense systems of all vessels embedded within the same network, so as to ensure the detection, tracking and destruction of hundreds of targets at the same time. In addition, the USS Donald Cook is equipped with 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of several stations. For protection, it carries more than fifty anti-aircraft missiles of various types

 

Sicuramente se i russi hanno mandato il SU-24 con quell'equipaggiamento, da solo, sapevano che cosa avevano di fronte e, immagino, fossero coscienti dei loro mezzi...ma sarà andata veramente così?

tali panzane, se non più grosse e riguardanti sistemi di cancellazione attiva della traccia radar, girano anche su altri episodi nei quali aerei russi hanno sorvolato navi americane. semplicemente, poichè i russi non fanno altro che svolazzare innocuamente, non c'è bisogno di tirarli giù con uno Standard o di illuminarli coi radar. così, loro si emozionano e gli americani evitano un bel regalo all'elint avversaria.

 

inoltre, da che mondo è mondo, non si mostra al nemico come funzionano le proprie ECM, per non dar modo di sviluppare ECCM adeguate. di conseguenza, non ha proprio senso rischiare un autogol del genere, per fare un buzz su di una nave che non ha alcuna intenzione di tirarti giù.

La questione e' che la potenza di emissione elettromagnetica di un caccia Burke e' fortemente superiore rispetto a quella di un Su 24 verosimilmente equipaggiato

con dei pod Ew Knirti Sap 14.

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus will name the fifth Block IV Virginia-class nuclear attack boat (SSN-774) after the father of the nuclear submarine — Adm. Hyman Rickover, according to a Friday announcement from the Department of Defense.

The service is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the first U.S. nuclear sub USS Nautilus (SSN-571) first journey under nuclear power.

Quale è il rateo massimo di atterraggi /tempo che può sostenere una portaerei CATOBAR?

è facile trovare in giro dichiarazioni tipo quella portaerei tal dei tali ha catapulte che permettono un lancio ogni tot minuti, ma riguardo al rientro "a bordo" ho trovato poco o nulla
